Nasty Gal staples:

"Every girl should have a good denim jacket, a good leather jacket, a good pair of high waisted skinny jeans, some flat black boots with a cuban heel, probably a wild crazy pair of platforms, some statement sunglasses, a good selection of good vintage rock and roll shirts..." (Quote from second video below)

Techie Tuesday: Bobbi Brown and Weylie Hoang do Google Hangout with Elle

Bobbi Brown, founder of the very famous Bobbi Brown brand and Weylie, famous from her YouTube Channel. I loved hearing about how Bobbi invented her Gel Eyeliner!!! Bobbi has such a talent for finding opportunities in the market and creating iconic products fom it, like the famous foundation stick, shimmer brick and lip stains. Wow.

Topics they discuss:

How do you keep your skin clear while applying makeup everyday?
What's your philosophy of not being perfect all the time?
What are your splurges?
Tips for dry skin and rejuvenating it?
Evening cleansing routine?
Bobbi Brown foundation stick - how was it invented?

And more!

Sydney Street Photography #21 - Pitt St Mall Posers

Love the symmetry in this shot. You tend overlook the details when roaming the mall because you're so bombarded by window displays and the hoards of people. This night I noticed the underbelly of the overpass walkway (see above?) and the design of that, had no idea!
Can you spot to the two girls posing?

Techie Tuesday: High tech imagery inside the womb

This video blew me away when I watched it. Being a new mother, you're so curious to know what's going on inside, and this TED talk completely made my mouth drop. You can't deny how incredibly amazing the creation of a new baby is, and probably a science humans will never ever be able to re-create.

Sydney Street Photography #20 - Jetty meets street

I like the contrast of the wooden planks and the street tar. I always wondered what it's like to live in these apartments by the water in Pyrmont. It's practically in the city, so can you separate yourself from work if you live here and work 5 minutes away?

Sydney Street Photography #19 - So aussie

And by Aussie I mean this Country Road bag. I remember seeing all the high school girls wearing this half a decade ago, and I guess these high school girls have grown up and are now wearing them to work. Fits everything and a staple as a gym bag I'm sure. They're got a lot of funky designs too, but I like this plain black one.

P.S that's not me. I do like her leather jacket though...

Sydney Street Photography #18 - The new business uniform

Goodbye suit jacket, hello rolled up sleeves and faded jeans.
Goodbye briefcase, hello macbook air, phone charger and notebook.
You could probably run a whole business with this equipment all day.
This is my kind of efficient dressing.

Sydney Street Photography #17 - Pyrmont pathway

Such a beautiful path on Pirrama Road in Pyrmont. Gorgeous shadows made by the trees engulfing the people walking underneath.

Techie Tuesday: Great article on Women in Tech

Read: Meet 8 Cool Women Making Waves in Tech from Refinery 29

I know this article is almost a year old, but gee what a find! It's so inspiring to see women changing the Tech scene, and incorporating the needs of a large chunk of their users, us! Reading these interviews was eye opening, and made me think of my future generations and how engineering and IT degrees should be encouraged, they're not just for boys.

Sydney Street Photography #16 - Mannequins can dream too...

To you it might just be a Topshop window front, but to me, I can't help but notice the reflection of the building across the road on the window. It's sort of like the mannequins are dreaming into the distance.. wishing they were real and in the building? haha What a thought...

Sydney Street Photography #15 - he loves me, he loves me not

Found the remnants of a flower and thought it was too gorgeous not to photograph. Did someone just pick apart a rose? Where's the stem? Did someone just shake apart a flower from a fight? Who knows.. but if there was any kind of beautiful 'trash', this would be it.

Sydney Street Photography #13 - Luna Park during the day

No matter how cheesy Luna Park may seem, the colourful atmosphere just pulls you in and brings out the inner child. The beautiful blue sky compliments the greens, reds and yellows painted quite cleverly all around Luna Park. Mother nature Sydney, you've just brought out all the stops this month...

Sydney Street Photography #12 - Me at 9 months pregnant

Being pregnant is one of the most beautiful experiences in my life so far. To feel this little being inside of me moving around gives me so much joy. Here I just went to the YouTube Academy with my brother in law, and couldn't help but photograph the bridge and allow the Opera House to photo bomb.

Sydney Street Photography #11 - YouTube Fanfest

I love how this image encapsulates the feeling of the crowd surrounding and devouring the people on stage. That's YouTube love right there.

Sydney Street Photography #10 - Luna Park

A silhouette of me, 9 months pregnant, in front of Luna Park.  We just finished watching YouTube Fanfest and boy was baby moving a lot or what... it must have been the screaming fans exciting baby!

Techie Tuesday: Have you seen Pixiwoo's Makeup e-magazine? It's free!

I have tried to read many e-magazines regularly, but never seem to go past that first issue. This is the only e-magazine that I continually read each month and absolutely adore it. It's so rare to get a glimpse of the makeup industry, and get real honest answers on what they do day to day, how they got into the industry and their experiences. Plus the gorgeous photography just inspires you to create more beauty in this world. I especially love seeing the Pro Kits, where pro makeup artists take a photo of their whole kit, and then we get a breakdown of what everything is, that is GOLD to any budding makeup artist.

Sydney Restaurant Review: Bread & Circus Wholefoods Canteen, Alexandria

Bread & Circus Wholefoods Canteen is located within the offices of 21 Fountain Street, Alexandria. It was a bit confusing trying to find the place as you have to enter either through the Campos cafe or the lobby of the no.21 offices. We parked at the Dan Murphey's because parking was full on the street. I was over 9 months pregnant, and we had my friend's baby in the car, so no, we weren't going to park far away. Plus it was raining and gloomy, not the best day to take a walk.

Blended Juice - the daily green
organic kale, spinach, cucumber, pineapple, lemon
and mint $7 small glass

My friend had this juice, and she absolutely loved it! I had a sip and my face screwed up like a prune! It was SO sour, but that's exactly how she likes it! Ridiculously healthy, this is definitely a drink for the sour lovers.

SANDWICH BOX - mustard mad biodynamic egg salad w/avocado and tomato $15

We shared this sandwich box, which is a great idea because it's pretty much DIY sandwich, so I could control the portions and the way I wanted to eat it. I ate it like a bruschetta. This was absolutely divine. I have major love for egg salads.

THE salads plate - Regular $16

Turns out you could order every single salad on the one plate, we couldn't choose so duh, we got everything. I'm a fresh-salad kinda girl, and everything on this plate had been cooked or grilled, so wasn't a massive fan of it, but I can't deny how tasty, and creative it was. Again, ridiculously healthy, and a great way to get kids to eat such a colourful plate of vegetables.

Soup - dreamy pumpkin sweet potato carrot & goats feta
w/ sage anise cinnamon and garlic - Side $8

This soup was DELICIOUS! The ingredients say it all. It was the perfect consistency, the perfect balance of pumpkin and sweet potato, and with buttered sourdough bread, ugh, I want this everyday.

All in all, I was very impressed by the service, food, atmosphere and overall quality of this cafe. I'm definitely coming back here when brunching with baby!

Sydney Street Photography #9 - Sydney Harbour Bridge

After watching YouTube Fanfest at Luna Park, I couldn't resist taking shots of the beautiful bridge, all lit up for the Vivid Festival. Breathtaking.
