BEAUTY FOR THE BUSY GIRL. BEAUTY/LIFESTYLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, A SPRINKLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY, A SMATTERING OF TECHIE CHAT, RESTAURANT REVIEWS. ANYTHING THAT OUR GIRL POWER MINDS COMES UP WITH. SYDNEY BASED. ENJOY.
I have been loving this combo the past week. With chilly weather starting in Sydney, it's so important for me to keep my skin hydrated. I'm prone to eczema and dry patches, and the aircon in my office is ridiculous! So I prep my skin with this combo (2 drops of oil) each night, and every morning (above sunscreen). Makeup sits perfectly on top, and no dry patches! It's especially great for sensitive skin as Embryolisse has minimal ingredients and rosehip oil is completely free of any other chemicals. A great recommendation for those with dry skin in colder weather!
Inspired by my previous video on my Bronze Look. Hope you watched it! Just head to www.youtube.com/findandsteal and subscribe for more makeup goodness!
Whether you want your face to look slimmer, or give a more 'sculpted' look, contouring and highlighting is definitely your friend. It's blown up recently, probably because it's flattering on everybody (ahem, and because of the Kardashians).
I'm a 'shortcut' kind of girl and like quick ways of doing things, so I rely on a darker powder to sculpt as opposed to creams or darker foundations which take more time to blend. My tip is to buy a pressed powder about 3 shades darker than your skin tone, instead of bronzers which end up having some shimmer or turn out too orange! In terms of brushes, it can be anything! Don't feel restricted to just angled brushes, any blush or powder brush will be fine.
Highlighting suits night time as it reflects the light so beautifully, and can seen little bit too much for day, but totally rock it with a lighter powder (not as shimmery) for day time if you want!
I hope you enjoy my tutorials! I want to keep it short and simple for the busy ladies out there!
Please let me know what other 'How to' tutorials you'd like to see!
Products used:
+ MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation - NC50
+ Contour/Blush Brush - any will be fine
+ Highlighter is from a concealer palette I bought from eBay
Welcome to the first of our weekly Beauty Bookmarks!
My favourite hobby is watching beauty and fashion videos on YouTube, and I'd like to share my weekly favourites with you! There is a wealth of informative and well produced videos on YouTube, but we all can't afford to spend hours each night trawling through them, so I'm taking the effort out of it for you, and curating the best beauty videos for your enjoyment!
Beauty Bookmarks is a new concept which I hope you'll enjoy following and watching as much as I do!
