BEAUTY FOR THE BUSY GIRL. BEAUTY/LIFESTYLE YOUTUBE VIDEOS, A SPRINKLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY, A SMATTERING OF TECHIE CHAT, RESTAURANT REVIEWS. ANYTHING THAT OUR GIRL POWER MINDS COMES UP WITH. SYDNEY BASED. ENJOY.
I don't know about you, but I have less than 10 minutes to put on makeup before work. Given it is the funnest part of my morning, I savour sleep more than taking the time to do my makeup. Therefore I have mastered doing a full face under 10 minutes, and this is one of the looks!
Watch my video and see how I did it!

I’m going dancing tonight! I need makeup that will last ALL night long! You can’t go wrong with bright red lipstick, and a simple highlighted and contoured face. I only realised after filming that I used mainly MAC products! You don’t need a bucket load of products to achieve a flawless look. So don’t be surprised if you see me use the same products again and again!

Simulating Leather Look
Leather is a definitive range of clothing for women and is a timeless piece.
In a modern pop culture world, fabrics simulating leather such as polyurethane or PVC are alternatives used for one that is in pursuit of buying economically or for the need of a vegan lifestyle.
Regardless, the needs of the wearer is the overall ensemble as it develops the character identity you want to show.
Whether you want your face to look slimmer, or give a more 'sculpted' look, contouring and highlighting is definitely your friend. It's blown up recently, probably because it's flattering on everybody (ahem, and because of the Kardashians).
I'm a 'shortcut' kind of girl and like quick ways of doing things, so I rely on a darker powder to sculpt as opposed to creams or darker foundations which take more time to blend. My tip is to buy a pressed powder about 3 shades darker than your skin tone, instead of bronzers which end up having some shimmer or turn out too orange! In terms of brushes, it can be anything! Don't feel restricted to just angled brushes, any blush or powder brush will be fine.
Highlighting suits night time as it reflects the light so beautifully, and can seen little bit too much for day, but totally rock it with a lighter powder (not as shimmery) for day time if you want!
I hope you enjoy my tutorials! I want to keep it short and simple for the busy ladies out there!
Please let me know what other 'How to' tutorials you'd like to see!

Ok maybe not. I'm a fan of Maie of Maiden Threads. I've known her since 2008 from mutual friends and have followed her blog from a distance for almost 5 years, admiring her empire slowly grow. Seeing her at her exhibition 'Friends of Maiden' completely blew my mind and I feel she has huge potential to be one of Australia's best designers. She's the kindest, nicest, friendliest girl (she designed my bridesmaids dresses!), with so much style, I just, I mean, look at her trousers! Like her Facebook page, and follow her blog, I feel so blessed to know another creative soul in Maie.
